Independence Day Celebrations

We celebrated Independence Day as a family with my parents and Steve and Savannah. We opted for the traditional hamburgers, potato salad, etc. We invited the Price family to join us and enjoyed fireworks together outside, well, ... except for Madi who would rather be indoors away from the noise, so Nana Sandy stayed up on the porch with her.

An Early Morning Summer Activity

As part of the Summer of Fun (II) 2009, we planned to attend the Freedom Festival HotAir Balloon launching. We chose to go on July 3rd instead of the crazy morning of July 4th. It was a great time. Too bad, Ben had to go to work but we got on the road about 6:00am to make it in time to see the balloons fill up. We ran into Kathy, Steve and Colby (friends from our neighborhood) who come every year. We ate at the charity pancake breakfast together and enjoyed this great new tradition
