We had a fun but very cold day at the Thanksgiving Point 4th grade field trip! Aly was a trooper.

"I got my ears pierced!"

Madi was so excited. At first she was a bit nervous but after a ride in the mall's choo train she was ready to go! She pronounced proudly "it didn't even hurt!". What a darling girl!

Aly is getting to feel so big!

Dylan's field trip to the Utah Capital

I went with the 4th graders from American Heritage School to tour the Utah State Capital. Or is it Capitol? Never can remember the rule on the one! Anyway, Dylan said it wasn't "as fun as he thought it was going to be" but it was still cool. I love going on the field trips and getting to know other students better. Dylan is such a good kid. I especially enjoy seeing him interact with the class and seeing what a good young man he is becoming.

It's not much but it makes a difference

Goodbye unibrow...

Oh yes we did!!!

Aly's 1st Haircut

Aly was fine as I sat her in the stylist's chair but as Melissa put the cape on her she started to cry crocodile tears.

Sleeping Angel

I just love watching my sleeping babies. This is how Aly had snuggled into her blankets during her nap. I always want to remember these sweet moments.

Tea Party

Madi and I had a tea party this morning before she went to preschool. She is precious!

Dr. says, "No strep, just sick"

This is a picture of Aly and Madi lying in our bed together this morning. Aly awoke with a fever again last night and slept with me from 5:00am until we awoke for school. Madi joined in about 7:30. Aly still is pretty lethargic after three days with a fever. I took her to the dr. and she doesn't have strep or any ear or throat infections. So that's good. We'll just keep an on her and hope the fever stops soon. She is resting now.

Sleeping sicky

Aly awoke with a fever again this morning. I was up with her at 4am and she was burning up. After an hour the medicine started helping and she was a bit cooler and ready to go back to bed. This morning I gave her some more medicine (alternating ibuprofen and Tylenol), got her dressed and gave her a bottle of milk to drink while I got Madi ready for dance class. Aly dosed off and this is how I found her in her crib a few minutes later. Simply precious. Thank goodness for her sweet disposition even when she doesn't feel well. I'm so in love with this little sweetie!

Dylan's 4th grade science fair project

Well...It's finished! Dylan is very pleased with how his (our) science project display turned out. Thank you Nana and Dad for helping along the way so I didn't pull my hair out!

Winter Dance Attack 2011

Kate was so excited to have Brinlee at Dance Attack this year. It was a long two days but I know Kate LOVED it!

Aly and her scriptures

Tonight Aly seemed to want to participate in family scripture reading like the other big kids. She had my first Book of Mormon and kept trying to open it on her own.

Looking so handsome

Dylan got his new glasses on Friday. As we drove home he said, "wow these really help me see better. Look! I can see the branches on the trees!"

Looks who's got piggy tails?

The day arrived today--Aly had enough hair for "piggies" as we call 'em round these parts! Simply adorable!

Aly

She's growing up too fast. 11 months already. Here she is getting into Madi's drawers. She thinks she's pretty awesome.

It may be 28 degrees outside but it is 89 degrees in the pool! Madi loved it.

Does anyone know where the toilet paper went?

Little Aly had a blast unrolling nearly an entire toilet paper roll. And I stood by and watched! Yep! It was 40% because I needed to dry my hair and she was whining for me to pick her --that is until she found the toilet paper. The other 60% is because she is our baby #4 and I've lightened up. I get how it's "cute" and how "I'll miss these days" etc. I adore Aly and love seeing her explore but don't want it to happen too fast. I want to cherish my "baby"
awhile longer.

"Puppy, I'm so glad you're back!"

The new puppy arrived today. Madi was thrilled to say the least!

Pilgrim Picture

From Miss Kristy: "Madi was the Super hero for Class B. And Madi helped her mom with the laundry. And when she goes on a trip she makes sure to pack Cheetos and suitcases. Thank you Madi for bringing your Pilgrims to class for show and tell. Your a great student."
